Unfortunately - that's not the only way reputations within the industry can get harmed.<BR/><BR/>One of my clients had a personal email from an experienced company, pointing out some highly questionable backlinks they had found. Now - the client is fully aware that this is way off our patch, luckily. Other less enlightened clients might see it as a blemish on our name. Certainly it seems the links exist - but also it wasn't THIS SEO that put them there.<BR/><BR/>Here in lies a problem. If you want to "win" business from other agencies, it's pretty easy to find fault with most websites and make the SEO look like the fall guy. Usually it is inactivity on the part of the client or worse, mistaken activity on the part of the client.<BR/><BR/>I regret my one transgression into "commenting on the competition" as you know. None of us are blameless though in our quest to win the good business it seems.<BR/><BR/>I wonder if competition will get more fierce as we see the world moving into harder times?
